Syrup preparation:
Mix all ingredients and cook on low heat.
Cake preparation:
Mix the semolina, the sugar, the baking powder, the almonds and the vanilla aroma, add the butter and finally add the eggs.
Pour the mixture into a buttered mold and cook in a preheated oven at 180°, pour the cold syrup on the hot cake then put back into the oven (turned off) leaving the oven door ajar.
